Let me introduce myself
Welcome to my newsletter, your guide through the dynamic world of finance and investing. My adventure in this field started over ten years ago at a $750M global macro hedge fund. My job was to look at the big picture: figuring out the current state of the world, predicting market trends for the next 9-18 months, and identifying which countries would benefit from big changes like de-globalization or a new world order.
But my work went deeper than just making predictions. I analyzed different countries, markets, and assets to uncover investment opportunities with attractive risk/reward ratios. By combining insights on global trends, market cycles, and how assets are currently valued, I developed a systematic approach to find promising investments.
In 2023, I embarked on a new journey: I left my job to take control of my own financial destiny. As many can attest, transitioning from thought to action is no small feat, particularly for someone who tends to procrastinate like myself. To navigate this challenge, I've chosen to document and share my learning journey through this newsletter. Regular publication and articulating my ideas not only bring structure to my life but also hold me accountable. Thus, by opening up about my experiences and strategies with you, I'm tackling my procrastination head-on and transforming it into a productive venture.
